New Release: "String Theory #8"
In 2002 Georg Zeitblom asked me for a piece for a CD-compilation. It would have been a homage to the musician/artist Phil Niblock. After listening to some of his works I conceived a piece that would try to catch his spirit, but combining an acoustic instrument and electronic manipulation … so I recorded Miriam Götting playing the open A string of her viola and did some heavy manipulation to it in ProTools. But all the sounds you hear stem from this open string note…
The CD and this piece were never released. I uploaded it on Bandcamp a couple of years ago. It is now out on Spotify, Apple Music, and all the other streaming service. Sit back, relax and enjoy!
